Traditionally, women are the first teachers in the family. It is the mother who teaches the child the values he or she upholds.
These principles become the foundation of the child's convictions for the rest of his/her life.
It is said that the child learns most of his/her values during the first five years. In terms of leadership, a mother imparts her values to the child by example.
The father also plays his parts, acting responsibly and ensuring his family is well taken care of.
For those boys who eventually grow up to be men and have their own families, they will subconsciously draw upon there memories of their parents and how they lived their lives.
The same would apply for those girls who one day have their children and families. Spiritually, every single person has a role to play in this world.
Thus, we need to be conscious that our actions and reactions may form the basis of how our children will run their lives and families in the future.
Unless we know who we really are, we cannot effectively change.
We are spiritually beings and thus equal in value. It is only with this attitude that we can progress.
I need to recognise the fact that people in my life are there for a reason and I can learn from everything that happens through my interaction with them.
Recognising that fact will stop me from blaming others and start using each learning experience for my own personal growth.
You should treasure yourself as a unique person. Do you compare yourself better or worse than others according to your appearance, your job, possessions, friends, talents, gender or inteligence?
The result of this kind of thinking is to tell ourselves that we are better that everyone else. In truth, we are all equally valuable.
Let go of your doubts and fears. Repeatedly affirm today that you are unique, that there is no one like you.
